I have only known Dave over the last few months but going back to the 1980's when I started to get lots of back pain, my parents took me to a back doctor. This went on for years until in the early 1990's when my back gave up and I had to have major surgery on my lower spine. 

I have used my back very hard over the years and in later years have also been overweight which didn't help. 

The amount of pain I have put up with has been extremely bad over the year's but in the last two years (2014/15) it got to the point that something had to give. I reassessed my lifestyle and lost 45kgs and set about finding someone who could help to fix my back. 

I had already been to a back surgeon who told me that they could not operate on my spine but who recommended that I lose weight, get fitter and generally change the way I lived my life. 

After meeting and going to a lot of different people (chiropractor/massage etc). Dave Green was recommended to me as possibly being able to help me with both my fitness and back pain. 

Our initial meeting was based on discussing my life in general but in particular my back problems and how they had come about. The following week we met again, at which time he provided me with a plan of how he would help me with my core strengthening, which in turn helped with core strength for my back.

After a few weeks of his treatment and training I am living for the first time with little or no pain, am standing and walking straighter and am sleeping at night the best I have done since I was a teenager. 

This man is very passionate in his field and knows what he is doing as he has helped me immediately and I will be forever grateful. 

The only thing I would like to say is the medical profession should take more notice of this type of rehabilitation to help people with pain and wellbeing as an alternative to using drugs.

I would like to thank Dave and would recommend his programme to anyone with extreme pain or wanting to better their fitness or wellbeing.

About 5 months ago I sprained the ligaments around my knee cap and was out of action from any vigorous exercise for around 3 months.  I experienced pain around the knee area and often had difficulties with walking. 
 
I went to DG Health and Fitness as I had been a member of their Military Fitness group for 3 months and had gained huge benefits from this and thought they may be able to help me with the recovery from my knee injury.  And help me they did!!!  Under Dave’s instructions with a ½ hour session per week for 4 weeks my knee improved dramatically.  I was walking more freely without pain. The thing I liked about the rehab/physio was the enthusiasm, positive attitude and committment Dave had towards my recovery using a holisitic approach. 
 
I had a goal this year to be be able to participate in the 10km Bridge to Brisbane walk in August. That goal certainly seemed as though it would not be realised but thanks to the care and instruction shown at DG Health and Fitness my dream became a reality when I completed the Bridge to Brisbane with no pain and in a good time.
 
The 1 hour per week military fitness sessions run by Dave have been very challenging for me as I am a large woman but they have been hugely rewarding. I have found my overall fitness levels have increased and I am feeling a lot stronger, more flexible in my joints and am losing weight.
 
I can definitely recommend DG Health and Fitness as a place where you will get the results you are looking for.

Dave spent many a morning preparing us for the big race, 

I am not much of a morning person but with Dave’s training sessions it wasn’t such a drag to get out of bed.

The quality and persistence used to get each and everyone of us into tip top shape was unfaultable. 

I suffer from severe back pain and Dave took the time to make sure I was doing every exercise correctly in order to strengthen and condition my muscles to prevent re-injuring myself. 

He encouraged me and kept me going even when I felt like everyone else was doing so much better than me. 

I could not have asked for a better trainer.

For the past year, David Green has been my personal trainer. In that time, he has improved my general fitness to a degree which I would not have believed possible.

In 1995, I was diagnosed as suffering from degeneration to the lower back (commonly known as wear and tear). This manifested in severe lower back pain, causing loss of mobility and stiffness, most evident after waking and long periods of sitting.

Early in 1997 I started to attend an abdominal class at the Riverside Club. I advised the instructor (Dave) of my back condition. I was encouraged to continue in the class despite the pain, and was told that by strengthening my abdominal and back muscles, my condition would improve. I continued to attend and within 6-8 weeks began to notice that not only was the stiffness reducing, my back was stronger and I was able to work with more intensity and increased mobility. 

I continue to attend the class and rarely wake with back pain anymore. My abdominal and back muscles are sufficiently strong now to compensate for the wear and tear impact. 

I fully support this type of training and would encourage anyone with back problems to give such exercises a try, it has certainly worked well for me.

I had keyhole surgery to my right shoulder in Feb 2013 and lost a lot of my strength in my right arm, I had follow up sessions with a physiotherapist at a local hospital however felt that I wasn't progressing very well. I was recommended to speak to Dave Green from a friend, got in touch with him and after the first session I felt that I had finally started my road to recovery.

Dave has a very professional approach explaining in detail what exercises to do and the benefits on carrying out each particular exercise. Whilst working on my shoulder he noticed that my posture was not correct as I had suffered with back problems for several years and he encouraged me to carry out some core strengthening exercises.

I had 12 sessions with Dave and not only made a full recovery from my op but with his encouragement I now carry out regular exercise and my back has felt the best it has been for years. If you need a personal trainer or even if you are suffering from aches and pains then Dave Green's your man. It's a shame he has emigrated as it's a loss to the UK but a great benefit to the people of New Zealand.

I have always found David cheerful, helpful and friendly; he has an outgoing personality and is able to present succinctly to all types of people with varying levels of fitness. I have known David now for many years; I decided to approach him after a considerable amount of time spent with some very painful injuries. 

I initially had a consultation with David, after which he was immediately able to diagnose my problems. As with most people who regularly go to the gym, I had reached a plateau in both physical improvement and motivation. I contacted Dave almost a year ago and in that time have achieved more than I imagined possible.

I have known Dave Green for some three years and during that time have found him to be a very genuine and sincere man.

Dave Green has been my personal trainer for about 6 months. I have always been an active person, however, since Dave has started training me the improvement in my health and fitness has been quite noticable, not just by myself but also from colleagues at work and at the gym.

Having been (at various points in my 2 year association with Dave) a patient, a student and suffering victim of his ministrations, it is with pleasure that I am able to highly recommend Dave Green as a competent, knowledgeable and extremely professional personal trainer. 

Throughout the past 2 years I have had the pleasure of training under Dave's supervision twice a week. Initial objectives were to simply increase muscle mass, however during my time with Dave these objectives expanded to include improved flexibility, better posture and greater core stability. 

Through his sessions, Dave significantly reduced the frequency which I suffered lower back pain. He also assisted greatly with my rehabilitation after an operation on my right knee.

Dave Green has been my personal trainer for one year. My intention was to enrol for a ten week session but when the course was complete I was so impressed with the results that I continued seeing him.

I am a senior, long haul, cabin crew member for British Airways this entails various long distance flights, these journeys including rest and downtime, can vary in length between three to ten days and take me through the world's timezones.This can lead to serious chronic fatigue, which over time has impacted both on my physical, psychological well being and general energy levels. I joined Cannons gym in spring 2001 to address these issues. Upon joining I received a standard fitness programme from the gym team which I tried for three months, sadly i found this to be ineffective for me. I was returning jet lagged from exhausting journeys week in, week out, working in a high stress environment, and I was unable to motivate myself to use the gym effectively although i recognised that exercise was the key to building the strength required to deal with an occupation whose difficulty is often under estimated. At this point i decided to return to a personal trainer who could provide the stimulation and motivation that I so desperately needed. This is when I first met Dave Green. 

The first thing that impressed me about Dave was that he listened to my needs. He heard that I was finding it difficult to rest, sleep well and deal with stress and he took onboard my desire to build energy, stamina and general fitness. My first impression was of his positive attitude coupled with his inspiring physical condition and this gave me confidence that here was a man who could tailor a programme to reap the most of the facilities on offer. This turned around my attitude to attending the gym. Our first few sessions together were physically challenging, he pushed me beyond what I thought I could achieve in my mind but recognised the limits of what my body could sustain.
